I love good views. I love summit views. I love patio views. Both houses we’ve lived with the kids had great views in somewhat impractical locations. Not horrible but not great. Definitely not walkable except to go hiking. That seemed important. Who knew I would get as much joy walking from home to buy broccoli. Somehow, in this sweet Pyrneean life of ours, we managed to get it all. Stunning views from the house, bikes and runs out of the front door, and walks to the store.
The other day I did a ride that filled my heart. The views!! I even got to watch a descending air balloon as I left home. Those people must have had some crusher views!! Stunning day. Stunning views for everyone.
Below is a panorama from the ride. Bellver (our town) is in the middle right of this photo. In the upper left are peaks I climbed with Will (on the Ruta) and Justin (on our date, ha ha). The valley that’s cut off on the far right is home to our beloved creperie. On foot and bike we have covered a lot of the ground in this photo. Yet I still have many dreams.

Below is a panaroma of the Cadi range. In the background you can see the stunning steep peaks of the range. We see these mountains from our backyard.

I am a bit obsessed with taking photos of our town from all angles, at all times of day.
Here’s a view of our valley on a cloudy day. Bellver is on the left. My heart-filling ride was in the mountains in the upper right. On the very far left is a ski hill called La Molina.

And last but not least, views from our backyard. Yes, we live next to farm fields on the edge of this tiny town:
