We took the long way home from Girona. Justin is one inspired Catalan-wannabe. It’s fantastic. First stop was Costa Brava. We gawked in awe and horror at super touristy beach towns. Aided by maps, satellite images and our eyeballs we found a quiet spectacular cove. It had some run down buildings and abandoned tennis courts. One restaurant. A dozen people on the beach. Totally our speed. We swam in the Mediterranean. Played in the waves. It was heavenly. Hard to believe that was our first family swim in salt water. We might have (almost) swam together in Tofino in 2018, but not really. That’s wild.
Speaking of wild, after the Med we went to the Dali museum in Figueres. Mind blown. His hometown. That wild soul conceived the space for his own art and he’s buried there. Wild.
